Woodlawn entry scores!

http://www.flickr.com/photos/preservationnation/4416829433/in/set-72157623455198693/

My Woodlawn entry received a second place! WAHOO!!! :) I have plans to attend later in the month, hopefully next weekend.

Of course, going to In Stitches and Wendy's are on the agenda. We like to grab lunch at Wendy's and watch planes at National Airport (never will I call it by its "new" name) from nearby Gravelly Point. Usually we can see the cherry blossoms from across the Potomac and that just adds to the lovely day.

The design was a freebie on this wonderful blog: www.aurytm.com/blog
She has lots of freebies and her Quaker animal series is darling.

15-sided freebie biscornu finished

I'll sure be glad when I can scan things again . Regardless, I finished sewing together my version of this 15-sided biscornu (http://aurytm.com/blog/)
using a lovely Needle Necessities in reds that I had on hand. It turned out fine, but a little smaller than I'd imagined it would be.

This is a 15 part freebie and has finishing instructions. I used a translator to translate the finishing instructions, but the photos were clear and I used them often as a referrence.
