The Wienerland half is done!

I just now put the last stitch in the right half of Winter Wienerland.  Now to blog about it about it rather than working on the left side.  It's a stitcher thing.  ;)

I'm getting the Lizzie Kate LE with the red fabric.  I think that will accent the piece nicely.  The other shop I ordered from sent an email that it mails to me tomorrow!  That's another good reason to work on the left side of Winter Wienerland.

Nashville market this weekend

I've placed a pre-order with Stitchesnthings; mostly for limited editions.  I buy almost every Lizzie Kate design so I've ordered two of her new ones sight unseen.  My fingers are crossed!! :)

My favorite new release is from SamSarah: When Pigs Fly.  What a hoot and a great use of the stix set.

Started a Lizzie Kate today

I've had Bacon Bits kitted up since it was released.  I started it today and I'm enjoying stitching it very much.  I'd forgotten how much fun it is to stitch a Lizzie Kate design.

1993 to 2013!! 20 years and finally done!!!!

Not a BAP. Oh, no.  A teeny, tiny Lizzie Kate, Bug Off, Baby.  (sigh)  Remember  Heatherfield fabric? In 1993, I went to Memphis,TN, for a cross stitch retreat.  It was great fun and we stopped at the LNS: Stitcher's Inc.  They had created a kit using purple Kreinik for the star and glow-in-the-dark for the moon. On black Heatherfield.  BLACK. HEATHERFIELD.  I started it that day and finished it yesterday.

I hate black Heatherfield.  Just sayin'.

Photo to come.

Frankenstorm is coming!!!!

Looks likes Hurricane Sandy will retrograde and come my way.  Batten down the hatches -- it's going to be a bit wet out!! LOL

I want to stock up on batteries for my clip on Ott Light and my AM/FM radio (yes, I still have one of these).  I have plenty of books to read and certainly enough cross stitch to keep me busy.  They're all but promising power outages; backup trucks are already on their way from out of state.  Buy tuna and peanut butter!!

I finished the Lizzie Kate extras from the Halloween Mystery charts.  Yea!!!

Working like crazy on Lizzie Kate's ABC Halloween

I have the rest of the skeleton and three more rows to go to be done. I'm averaging about a row every 3 days. My plan is to send it to Jill Rensel in Ogden, UT, for mats. I can send it with The Mermaid and the Sea. When they get back I can frame them locally.

I was going through a box in my closet and came across a bunch of boring, old cross stitch charts. However, in amongst them, was a partially stitched SB ornament (wisemen) from one of the annual JCS ornament magazines. I even had the sterling silver charm with it! It is now in my soon-to-be-finished pile.

Next up is a Blackbird Loose Feathers design from a couple of years ago. Although I can't recall the name of it right now, it's the one with the three different fabrics that are sewn together after stitching and then embroidery is done over the seam.

I've finished a few things lately, but the computer with dial-up goes so slow I didn't want to invest that kind of time into the process. Now with broadband, it works like it should!

Here's what I've finished lately:

Graphique Needlearts "Nine Lives"

Nine Lives finished September 2008

Lizzie Kate's Hocus Pocus (to be finished as an ornament)

LK Hocus Pocus finished Oct 18 2008

Plum Pudding's spells:

Plum Pudding Needleart Spell Binding Spells & Potions finished Oct 2008

Pat’s Neighbourhood RR:

I've started Kathy B's RR, but it's late so I didn't get far. Much more will be done tomorrow.

Lizzie Kate Big Girl Panties....done in 2 days!!

Lizzie Kate Big Girl Panties Mar 3, 2008

This crazy, funny design only took me 2 days to stitch! I sewed the yellow buttons on at quirky angles. I also made a color change! If I stitched it as charted, the panties on the right would have a purple band at the top not yellow. I substituted DMC 745 since it was handy from the bee CEC Easter ornament. Now my piece matches the picture!

Lizzie Kate finish

I like the look of this piece and am very glad it's finished. I did NOT like the fabric as it was hard to see the holes and it's only 32 count. I should be able to see that. I have a simple frame so I may give framing it myself a try. I've framed before and I do a good job. I just detest the pinning and lacing. Ick!!! LOL
